The 36th Annual Heritage Circle and Mercy McAuley Heritage Circle Luncheon was held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. Director Barbara Menard attended and joined other donors at the Scripps Mercy Table. Following a reception and lunch, Thomas Buchholz, MD, the new medical director of Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center shared in his presentation “History, Healing and Hope. Dr. Buchholz is a radiation oncologist and has served in distinguished leadership positions at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, including provost, physician-in-chief and executive vice president. In sharing person experiences, Dr. Buchholz discussed Scripps MD Anderson’s multidisciplinary approach designed to provide the most patient-focused cancer care in the Southern California area.
