Casa Cornelia Law Center celebrated its twenty-second year with Quest for Justice:  8th Annual La Mancha Awards at the University of San Diego Institute for Peace and Justice.  The La Mancha Awards are given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the mission of Casa Cornelia Law Center.  The Humanitarian Award was presented to Price Philanthropies.  The Distinguished Pro Bono Attorney of the Year went to Teodora D. Purcell, Esq. of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP.  The Pro Bono Law Firm of t he Year was awarded to DLA Piper, LLP.  Casa Cornelia Law Center is a public interest law firm providing quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations.  The Center has a primary commitment to the indigent within the immigrant community in Southern California.  Casa Cornelia strives to educate others regarding the impact of immigration law and policy on society and the public good.
