For more than a century, the California Province of the Society of Jesus has faithfully responded to the call of Christ to proclaim the Word of God and help men and women of all ages experience lives of faith, hope, and love.
To continue this vital mission—the service of Faith and the Justice that it includes—in the midst of current economic and societal challenges, and in a spirit of gratitude to those Jesuits who for generations have spread the Word of God and devoted their lives to the service of others, the California Province has launched an exceptional fundraising effort—the first in its history—with a goal of $27 million to address three critical needs:
• Needed capital upgrades at the Sacred Heart Jesuit Center to improve the quality of life and care for elderly and infirm Jesuits.
• Expansion and renovation of The Jesuit Novitiate of the Three Companions in Culver City, Calif., to meet the needs of the growing number of men entering the Society of Jesus.
• Strengthening the endowment for Formation to provide for the religious training and intellectual education of the next generation of Jesuit Priests and Brothers.
