The Menard Family Foundation was a sponsor of the 40th Haute with Heart Fashion Show and Luncheon to fund St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center. Directors Marlene Miller, Barbara J. Menard, and Catherine Chafey Scanlon were in attendance. This annual event is produced by the fabulous Leonard Simpson of Fashion Forward ™ and his daughter Brittany Simpson Shiperly of Fashion LemonAid ™. This year’s theme –VOGUE – is based on the art piece titled Pat Cleveland by Charlie Lizarraga. Charlie is an artist, actor and musician who is also a student at St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center. The event funds the innovative and wonderful programs at SMSC. In 2016 the center launched their 50th Golden Anniversary Campaign to meet the needs of the next fifty years. They are completing the new Aquatics Center and future plans include the installation of a solar system and a newly dedicated Senior Center. This year the Honorary Chair of Haute with Heart was Kristi Pieper and Honorary Co-Chair, Joy Blount. The McGrath Family were honored for their support of many charitable organizations focused on the humane treatment of animals, women’s and children’s causes, and other humanitarian programs in the local community including SMSC. The luncheon included a silent and live auction led by Master of Ceremonies Clint Bell and Brandi Williams of KUSI news and fashions presented by celebrity couture designers and the Visionary Dance Theater group.
