Held at the beautiful Hilton La Jolla in Torrey Pines, KPBS Celebrates was entitled “Go Back In Time for an Adventure Around the World.” The evening included: a hosted reception and silent auction; dinner; a live auction; entertainment; the Hall of Fame Tribute; and live music and dancing. The Menard Family Foundation was a sponsor of the event and Directors Marlene Miller, Catherine Scanlon, and Barbara Menard attended, along with their spouses and friends. The gala was designed to honor the 2014 KPBS Hall of Fame inductees: The Beyster Family as Visionaries, and Ken Kramer for Lifetime Achievement. National Public Radio’s Morning Edition host David Greene acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The entertainment included dancers from the three cultures: Japan, India and Brazil.
