The 36th annual National Association of Perinatal Social Workers Conference to “relax, renew and rejuvenate” was held in Little Rock, AK. The host venue was the world- class and luxurious Peabody Hotel. Conference participants were able to partake in the downtown Rivermarket District, and sightsee at the numerous museums, theaters, art centers, boutiques, marketplaces and restaurants. Attendees were treated with a morning and evening March of the Peabody Ducks, a custom that dates back to the 1930’s and facilitated by the Peabody “Duckmaster”. NAPSW’s own Cindy Hiles assisted the Duckmaster on Friday morning! The Menard Family Foundation has been a sponsor for NAPSW contributing to the continuing education for social workers from the United States, Canada and beyond to receive educational updates to broaden their skills as counselors in a variety of perinatal settings. Barbara J. Menard attended the conference and presented a workshop on “Issues in Attachment.”
