St. Paul Senior Services celebrated the retirement of Cheryl Wilson on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Sheridan Hotel on Harbor Island. Known to all as the “Opal from the Outback,” Cheryl was recognized for her thirty-three years of service to St. Paul’s Senior Services. The City of Praise Church Gospel Choir provided music at the opening reception and at the dinner. There were numerous tributes including: Very Rev. Penny Bridges, Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral; Board Chairs of St. Paul’s Episcopal Homes, St. Paul’s Senior Services, and St. Paul’s PACE; as well as personal sharing by members of the Wilson Family and family and friends in Australia. A lovely musical tribute was performed by Melissa Stinson of St. Paul’s PACE and members of aChord Men’s Ensemble. Menard Family Foundation was a sponsor of the event and Director Barbara Menard attended this lovely evening.
