Rise Up Industries held its annual fund raising gala Big Night Out on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. MFF Directors Catherine Scanlon and her husband Mark joined Barbara Menard at this event that featured Rev. Greg Boyle, SJ and Joseph Ragland as Keynote Speakers. Joseph is a graduate of the Rise Up Industries program and shared a moving speech about his journey and growth. Fr. Boyle is an inspirational presenter, author, and founder of Homeboy Industries. His books and work have been recognized across the United States and beyond. Rise Up Industries is part of the Homeboy network of programs. The funds raised this evening along with several generous donations have enabled them to purchase their own building on Market Street in San Diego. This move will place the program in the heart of the area where their clients seek services.
