Director Barbara J. Menard attended the Annual Holiday Blessing & Interfaith Service held in the Our Lady’s Chapel on the campus of Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest. This annual event included reflections by: Rabbi Aliza Berk, President of the San Diego Board of Rabbis; Imam Taha Hassane, Director of Interfaith/Public Relations, Islamic Center of San Diego; Rev. Patrick Mulcahy, Pastor, Corpus Christi Catholic Church and Very Rev. Penelope Bridges, Dean of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. Tom Gammiere, Chief Executive of Scripps Mercy Hospital provided opening remarks and Mark Zangrando, Senior Director of Mission Integration for Scripps Mercy shared concluding remarks. The music for the service was provided by Canon Martin Green and the Saint Paul’s Cathedral Choir. Included in the event was a recognition of Sr. Cecile Lew for her eightieth birthday, and the surprise gift of a new keyboard for her use with patients at the two campuses.
