On Monday February 18 th Menard Family Foundation Barbara Menard joined the Fr. Joe’s Village Ladies Guild members including MFF Director Marlene Miller for their Annual Fundraiser. This year’s theme “Circus Time” was carried out from the clown balloons that welcomed guests as they arrived to the colorful room and table decorations and even to the dessert. Numerous beautiful baskets were on display for the silent auction and bidding continued until lunch was served. President and CEO Deacon Jim Vargas addressed the group and shared his gratitude for the hundreds of volunteer hours provided by the Ladies Guild. Laura Kojima, dressed as the Ring Master, is the Manager of Volunteer Services at Fr. Joe’s Villages, and Village Ladies Guild Liaison. She also expressed appreciation to the co-chairs for the event and for all the work of the committee. The entertainment was provided by the Fern Street Circus. It was founded in 1990 in the City-Heights area of San Diego and serves families and transforms neighborhoods through performance and teaching circus arts. Professional artists collaborate with learners and their families.
